With a foundation built on a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Royal University, where she specialized in Early Childhood Development and also received a minor in Psychology, Semhar Russom exemplifies the enthusiasm and dedication that are at the core of Stars Montessori Academy. With her wide educational background, Semhar has complemented it with real-world experience as a Youth and Family Counsellor. She has worked with a variety of organizations to have a meaningful effect in the lives of young people. Semhar is a licensed Child Development Supervisor.
Semhar's decision to enter the field of early childhood education was motivated by her unwavering faith in the impact that high-quality childcare can have on the lives of children. She is aware that the experiences that we provide our children during their formative years can have a significant impact on their health, well-being, learning, and behaviour throughout their entire lives. This comprehension serves as the impetus for her never-ending pursuit of learning and development, not just inside herself but also within the institution.
Stars Montessori Academy and Out-of-School Care, which is led by Semhar, has the goal of being more than just a childcare facility; rather, it wants to become a community in which children are seen, heard, and fostered so that they can discover their full potential.
